DUTCH MTB XCO CHAMPION, RUDI VAN HOUTS WILL BE COACHING DCS RIDERS PREPARING FOR FIRST ROUND OF 2018 UCI MTB XCO WORLD CUP EVENT BEING HELD IN STELLENSBOCH

Multiple Dutch MTB XCO Champion, 3 times Olympian, Top 5 European MTB and multiple stage winner and overall GC podium in multiple ABSA Cape Epics, Rudi van Houts is aligning with DCS and has offered to help us prepare, not only our riders, but any other interested riders, who are aiming to take part in the first round of the UCI MTB XCO World Cup being held in Stellenbosch on Saturday, 10 March 2018.

March 2018 will be the biggest conglomeration of cyclists to the Western Cape when, in a space of 2 weeks, the UCI World Cup will take part in Stellenbosch, where the best mountain bikers in the world will be riding.  The following day, 11 March 2018, Cape Town plays host to the biggest one day, individually timed event in the world, the Cape Town Cycle Tour, then a week later, the biggest and most sought-after mountain bike stage race in the world, the ABSA Cape Epic kicks of in Cape Town on 18 March 2108 and ends in Paarl on 25 March 2018.

To say the least, DCS is going to be heavily involved in all 3 events with most or almost all our riders taking part in one or some of the the events.

Rudi has offered his services to give, not only our riders, great insight into the world of World Cup level racing, but also us, as coaches to pick his brain and to learn fresh ideas and discuss some really burning ideas and questions.

Groups will be kept to a max of 4 riders.  Sessions will be held on the Coetzenburg course and we will be using a lot of video analysis during each session and will look at doing some talk sessions too.  If you’re keen to attend any of these sessions, please email us as soon as possible – we’re still in the process of setting up dates and times, so when you do email us, please list your preference.  We’d really like to share Rudi with as many of our young riders as possible:  info@daisyway.co.za
